NIGERIAN YOUTH WINS GOOGLE AWARD

The statement that given the right enabling environment, the Nigerian youths can do more for himself and his country came into the fore recently when a Nigerian youth, Mr. Adepoju Emmanuel Abiodun won the Google Student Ambassador for the University of Ibadan as well as Google Map Advocate for the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Mr. Adepoju is currently a student of Computer Science ion the University of Ibadan. In the course of his studentship, he developed an interest in community development service with the aim of making a positive impact on the people.
In his new office as the Pioneer Google Student Ambassador, Mr. Adepoju has demonstrated his leadership and project management skills which culminated in lots of accomplishments within a short period of time. Mr. Adepoju led the premier University, University of Ibadan to emerge top 100 in the 2011 global Google online marketing challenge. Also, he is one of the technical people working on the digital mapping of the University of Ibadan and he is an active participant in the digital mapping project training for Ondo State government officials. He is ready and available to partner with any institution of higher learning to introduce the Google Apps Supporting program to them and ensure that the community comes online.
Mr. Abiodun is full of ideas, talented, energetic and hardworking. He is an emerging leader and a lover of people. He is a model and an inspiration to our youths who needs all the necessary guidance on the need to channel their energy and potentials in positive ways.
