Kole Jagun, a consummate IT practitioner, entrepreneur and the immediate Past Vice–President/Vice-Chairman of Council has emerged the new President/Chairman of Council of Computer Professionals (Registration Council of Nigeria) [CPN].

In the election result released by the Chairperson of the CPN Electoral Committee, Prof (Mrs.) Abimbola Soriyan, Mr. Jagun polled 270 votes, representing (70.3% of the total votes cast) to defeat his rival, Prof Afolayan Obiniyi who polled 110 votes in the online election which ended moments ago.

Dr Eyo Effiong Essien, the only candidate for the office of the Vice – President/Vice-Chairman of Council polled 341 votes to be returned unopposed.
