The Council and indeed members of the IT Profession were well represented at the church service held to mark Most Reverend (Professor) Adebayo Dada Akinde’s his 70th Birthday   ceremony as well as his retirement from active pastoral services as the Diocesan Bishop, Diocese of Lagos Mainland, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion). 

The ceremony was held at the Cathedral of Saint Judes, Diocese of Lagos Mainland, Church of Nigeria, Ebutte Meta on Tuesday 23rd August, 2016. The Chairman and President, Computer Professionals (Registration Council of Nigeria) and other doyens of IT practice (Academia and Industry) in attendance.

Eminent Nigerians from all walks of life were also at the church service to celebrate the respected man of God.

Council wishes the Most Reverend (Professor) Adebayo Dada Akinde a happy 70th birthday and a restful retirement as he steps down after spending 10 years as Diocesan Bishop of the Diocese of Lagos Mainland.
